Antara
Antara is a project conceived by Om Srivastava on soprano saxophone and Vishal Desai on tabla. Having originally met at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, the two found rapport in their studies of Hindustani rhythm and the tabla. A vision of presenting Indian sounds in a new, groove-oriented approach was born. Antara is a realization of compositions, arrangements and improvisations in this original and global sound.
